Our Ligurian pestos: the taste of Italy, without compromise!

Made in Liguria according to the traditional Italian recipe, our pestos are prepared with fresh Genoa PDO basil to reveal an intense and authentic aroma.

They are then blended with olive oil and natural ingredients: Pecorino, Grana Padano, cashews, pine nuts, sundried tomatoes, or pistachios, depending on the version. No additives, no pasteurization, just the taste of a pesto that’s almost homemade.

History of "Pesto"

Born in Genoa, Liguria, pesto carries within it centuries of tradition.

Its name comes from “pestare,” meaning “to pound,” a simple yet patient gesture: that of crushing a few basil leaves, a little garlic, pine nuts, cheese… and a mild olive oil, a symbol of the Mediterranean sun.

What makes it unique is not just its taste.

It’s what it represents: a cuisine where time is taken, where each ingredient has a story, where the aroma of freshly crushed basil is enough to evoke summer.

In Provence, it found a kindred spirit.

It became pistou, sometimes revisited with almonds or simply enhanced by local oils. Always true to the essentials: respect for the ingredients and the desire to share.
