Bird census action
Protecting the planet is at the heart of our philosophy, which is why, beyond our daily commitments, we are stepping up actions to preserve it.
With the Act For Planet association, a partner of the LPO Paca, we support the commitment to biodiversity of the family estate of Bastidettes, located in Arles in the heart of Provence and on the threshold of the Camargue, where one of our oils is harvested. extra virgin olive.
It was in this context that at the beginning of June, a faunistic diagnosis was carried out. The objective is to identify the species present but also to think about arrangements favorable to the development of biodiversity.

At the end of this census session 23 species of birds were identified, a diversity which proves that the area is already managed in a very respectful way of nature (hunting is prohibited, hedges are planted. , grassy areas are preserved…). However, in order to promote the development of other species, various actions will be carried out: setting up nesting boxes, setting up perches as well as access to facilitate the entry and exit of birds.
Species typical of agricultural environments, such as the Zizi Bunting or the Cisticola des Joncs are present on the estate. A great initiative that highlights the work and passion of our producers, committed to safeguarding the wealth of their territory.
