Soft cake with caramelized apples and blackcurrant balsamic vinegar

  • 3 apple ( Golden variety)
  • 3 egss
  • 120g blond sugar
  • 150g flour
  • 80 g melted butter (or neutral oil)
  • 1 natural yogurt (or 100 g of light cream)
  • 1 bag baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 tbsp. brown sugar (for cooking the apples)

Preparation

Caramelized apples

    Peel and cut the apples into slices or cubes.

  2. 2

    Fry them for 5 minutes in a pan with a little butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and a dash of blackcurrant balsamic vinegar. Set aside.

Cake dough

    Whisk the eggs with the sugar until frothy.

  2. 2

    Add the yogurt, melted butter, then the flour and baking powder. Mix.

    Add the apples to the batter and pour into a buttered and floured mold.

Cooking

    Bake at 180°C (gas mark 6) for 35 to 40 minutes (check cooking).

    Let cool before unmolding.
