Lemon from Menton

An ancestral culture

In the 19th century, Menton was known for its abundant crops of fig trees, vines and cereals. It is by introducing olive trees that citrus fruits, and in particular the Menton lemon, will appear.

If it is cultivated and appreciated, it will be officially recognized from the 17th century, when it reached its peak. In 2015, it obtained its IGP. Menton lemon has sweet notes, a slight acidity and intense aromas. In addition, it is renowned for its excellent preservation. Qualified as “4 seasons”, we know of a culture that proliferates in spring, summer and continues until autumn! It ripens on the tree, is harvested by hand and does not undergo any post-harvest treatment.
