Cezanne and Provence: an eternal inspiration
Paul Cezanne, a key figure of Impressionism, forged a deep connection with the landscapes of Provence. Born and spent most of his life in Aix-en-Provence, he drew his inspiration from the region’s luminous, authentic landscapes. The rolling hills, sun-drenched orchards and majestic Mont Sainte-Victoire, omnipresent in his work, bear witness to his unshakeable bond with this land. Through his canvases, Cezanne sublimated Provence, translating its colors, light and unique geometry with an innovative style that inspired generations of artists.
