Brioche toast with goat cheese & pear and cardamom confit

Ingredients

  • 6 slices of brioche (or lightly sweetened gingerbread for a more flavorful touch)
  • 6 small fresh goat cheese rounds
  • 1 pear confit wih cardamom
  • Some chips roasted pistachios (or hazelnuts)
  • 1 fillet honey (optional)
  • Fleur de sel & freshly ground pepper

Preparation

    Preheat the oven to 170°C.

    Arrange the brioche slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and place a goat cheese round on each one.

    Bake for approximately 8 to 10 minutes, until the goat cheese is lightly browned and melted.

    Add a spoonful of pear and cardamom confit on top.

    Sprinkle with roasted pistachios or rosemary + a turn of pepper and a pinch of fleur de sel.

    (Optional) Finish with a light drizzle of honey for a sweet and savory touch.
