Mincemeat pie




For the dough:

  • 150 g butter
  • 100 g icing sugar
  • 250 g flour
  • 1 beaten egg

For garnish:

Others ingredients

  • 1 apple
  • 50 g blanched almonds
  • 8 candied orange peel
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 1 lemon

    In a bowl, with your fingertips, gently mix the flour, icing sugar and diced butter. Form a well in the center, add the beaten egg. Mix all the ingredients until they come together, then quickly form a ball. Film the ball and let it rest in the fridge for 30 minutes.

    Make the filling: Peel and thinly slice the apple. Cut the candied orange peel into small pieces. Chop the almonds. Add the cinnamon powder, wrap the ingredients well. Then add the lemon juice and then the jam. Book cool.

    Assembly: Roll out the dough to 4 mm thickness. Using a 12 cm cookie cutter, cut out circles of pastry and line individual tartlet molds - well greased - with this dough. Repeat the operation 7 times (you get 8 tartlets). Place the filling in the center of each tartlet. Using the scraps of dough, make stars with a cookie cutter. Place each star on top of the tartlets. Bake 15/20 mins. at 180°C then gently unmold.
